This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of 'Imran b. Husain with a slight variation of wording.

و حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الرَّقِّيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ عَنْ ثَلَاثَةِ رَهْطٍ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ فِيهِمْ أَبُو قَتَادَةَ قَالُوا كُنَّا نَمُرُّ عَلَى هِشَامِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ إِلَى عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ مُخْتَارٍ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَمْرٌ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ الدَّجَّالِ

عبیداللہ بن عمرو نے ایوب سے ، انھوں نے حمید بن ہلال سے اور انھوں نے اپنی قوم کے تین لوگوں سے روایت کی جن میں ابو قتادہ بھی شامل ہیں کہ ہم ہشام بن عامر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کے پاس سے گزر کر حضرت عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کے پا س جاتے تھے ۔ جس طرح عبدالعزیز بن مختار کی روایت ہے مگر انھوں نے کہا؛ " دجال ( کے فتنے ) سے بڑا کوئی معاملہ ( پیش نہیں آیا ۔ ) "

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) having said: Hasten to do good deeds before six things happen: the rising of the sun from the west, the smoke, the Dajjal, the beast and (the death) of one of you or the general turmoil.

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: Hasten in performing these good deeds (before these) six things (happen): (the appearance) of the Dajjal, the smoke, the beast of the earth, the rising of the sun from the west, the general turmoil (leading to large-scale massacre) and death of masses and individuals.
