Narrated Thawban: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: For each forgetfulness there are two prostrations after giving the salutation. No one except Amr (ibn Uthman) mentioned the words from his father (in the chain Abdur Rahman ibn Jubayr ibn Nufayr from Thawban).

حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالرَّبِيعُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَشُجَاعُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ بِمَعْنَى الإِسْنَادِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ ابْنَ عَيَّاشٍحَدَّثَهُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ الْكَلَاعِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ زُهَيْرٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَالِمٍ الْعَنْسِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ عَمْرٌو:‏‏‏‏ وَحْدَهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لِكُلِّ سَهْوٍ سَجْدَتَانِ بَعْدَ مَا يُسَلِّمُ . وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ عَنْ أَبِيهِ غَيْرُ عَمْرٍو.

ثوبان رضی اللہ عنہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کرتے ہیں آپ نے فرمایا: ہر سہو کے لیے سلام پھیرنے کے بعد دو سجدے ہیں ، عمرو کے سوا کسی نے بھی ( اس سند میں ) «عن أبيه» کا لفظ ذکر نہیں کیا۔

Narrated Imran ibn Husayn: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم led them in prayer and forgot something, so he made prostrations and uttered the tashahhud, then gave the salutation.

Umm Salamah said; When the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم gave the salutation, he stayed for a while. By this people thought that women should return earlier than men.

Narrated Hulb (Yazid) at-Ta'i: Hulb prayed along with the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. He used to turn to both his sides (sometimes to the left and sometimes to the right).

Abdullah (bin Masud) said; One of you should not give a share from his prayer to the devil, that he does not turn away expect to his right side. I saw the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم often turning away to his left side. the narrator Umarah said: I came to Madina afterwards and saw that the houses of the prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم were (built) in the left.

Ibn Umar reported the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: Offer some of your prayers in your houses, and do not make them graves.

Narrated Zayd ibn Thabit: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: The prayer a man offers in his house is more excellent than his prayer in this mosque of mine except obligatory prayer.
