Anas bin Malik reported: A man entered the mosque on camel and made it kneel down, and then tied his leg with rope. He then asked: Who among you is Muhammad? The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم was sitting leaning upon something among them. We said to him: This white (man) who is leaning. The man said: O son of Abd al-Muttalib. The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said; I already responded to you. The man (again) said: O Muhammad. I am asking you. The narrator then narrated the rest of the tradition.
حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ شَرِيكِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي نَمِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ عَلَى جَمَلٍ فَأَنَاخَهُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ ثُمَّ عَقَلَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَيُّكُمْ مُحَمَّدٌ ؟ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُتَّكِئٌ بَيْنَ ظَهْرَانَيْهِمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقُلْنَا لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا الْأَبْيَضُ الْمُتَّكِئُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ لَهُ الرَّجُلُ:‏‏‏‏ يَا ابْنَ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ قَدْ أَجَبْتُكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ لَهُ الرَّجُلُ:‏‏‏‏ يَا مُحَمَّدُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِنِّي سَائِلُكَ وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ .
انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   ایک شخص اونٹ پر سوار ہو کر آیا، اس نے اسے مسجد میں بٹھایا پھر اسے باندھا، پھر پوچھا: تم میں محمد کون ہے؟ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس وقت ان ( لوگوں ) کے بیچ ٹیک لگائے بیٹھے تھے، ہم نے اس سے کہا: یہ گورے شخص ہیں جو ٹیک لگائے ہوئے ہیں، پھر اس شخص نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے کہا: اے عبدالمطلب کے بیٹے! تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس سے فرمایا: میں نے تمہاری بات سن لی، ( کہو کیا کہنا چاہتے ہو ) ، تو اس شخص نے کہا: محمد! میں آپ سے پوچھتا ہوں، پھر راوی نے پوری حدیث بیان کی ۱؎۔

Ibn Abbas reported: Banu Saad bin Bakr sent Qamam bin Thalabah to the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. He came to him and made his camel kneel down near the gate of the mosque. He then tied its leg and entered the mosque. The narrator then reported in a similar way. He then said: Who among you is the son of Abd al-Muttalib? The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم replied: I am the son of Ibn Abd al-Muttalib. He said: O son of Abd al-Muttalib. The narrator then reported the rest of the tradition.

Narrated Ali ibn Abu Talib: Abu Salih al-Ghifari reported: Ali (once) passed by Babylon during his travels. The muadhdhin (the person who calls for prayer) came to him to call for the afternoon prayer. When he passed by that place, he commanded to announce for the prayer. After finishing the prayer he said: My affectionate friend (i. e. the Prophet) prohibited me to say prayer in the graveyard. He also forbade me to offer prayer in Babylon because it is accursed.
