Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: when any of you prays and takes off his sandals, he should not harm anyone by them. He should place them between his feet or pray with them on

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَشُعَيْبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَخَلَعَ نَعْلَيْهِ فَلَا يُؤْذِ بِهِمَا أَحَدًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لِيَجْعَلْهُمَا بَيْنَ رِجْلَيْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَوْ لِيُصَلِّ فِيهِمَا .

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب تم میں سے کوئی نماز پڑھے اور اپنے جوتے اتارے تو ان کے ذریعہ کسی کو تکلیف نہ دے، چاہیئے کہ انہیں اپنے دونوں پاؤں کے بیچ میں رکھ لے یا انہیں پہن کر نماز پڑھے ۔

Maimunah bint al-Harith reported: the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم used to pray while. I was by his side in the state of menstruation. Sometime his cloth would touch me when he prostrated. He would pray on a small mat.

Anas bin Malik reported: A man from the Ansar said: I am a corpulent man-and he was (actually) a fat man; I cannot pray along with you. He prepared food for him and invited him to his house. (he said) (please) pray (here) so that I may see how you pray, and then I would follow you. They (the people) washed one side of their mat. He (the prophet) then got up and prayed two Rak’ahs. Ibn al-Jarud asked Anas bin Malik: would he (the prophet) say the forenoon prayer? He replied: I did not see him offering this prayer except that day.

Anas bin Malik said; the prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم used to visit Umm Sulaim. Sometimes the time for prayer would come and he would pray on out carpet that was really a mat. She (Umm Sulaim) used to wash it with water.

Narrated Al-Mughirah ibn Shubah: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم used to pray on a mat and on a tanned skin.

Anas bin Malik said: we used to pray along with the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم in intense heat. When any of us could not rest his face on bare ground while prostrating due to intense heat he spread his cloth and would prostrate on it.

Jabir bin Samurah reported the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: Why do you stand in rows as the angels do in the presence of their Lord? We asked: how do the angles stand in rows in the presence of their Lord? He replied: they make the first row complete and keep close together in the row.
