Abu Uthman al-Nahdl said that he offered the sunset prayer behind Ibn Masud, when he recited “Say: He is Allah, the One” (Surah 112).

حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ النَّزَّالِ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ صَلَّى خَلْفَ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ الْمَغْرِبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَرَأَ:‏‏‏‏ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ .

ابوعثمان نہدی سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کے پیچھے مغرب پڑھی تو انہوں نے «قل هو الله أحد» پڑھی۔
