Abu Hurairah reported the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as sayings: if anyone would like to have the fullest measure granted to him when he invokes blessings on us, the members of the prophet’s family, he should say: O Allah, bless Muhammad, the unlettered Prophet, his wives who are the mother of the faithful, his off springs, and the people of his house as Thou didst bless the family of Abraham. Thou art indeed praiseworthy and glorious.

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا حِبَّانُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ الْكِلَابِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مُطَرِّفٍ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ كَرِيزٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْهَاشِمِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْمُجْمِرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يَكْتَالَ بِالْمِكْيَالِ الْأَوْفَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِذَا صَلَّى عَلَيْنَا أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلْيَقُلْ:‏‏‏‏ اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَزْوَاجِهِ أُمَّهَاتِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَذُرِّيَّتِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ .

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جسے یہ بات خوش کرتی ہو کہ اسے پورا پیمانہ بھر کر دیا جائے تو وہ ہم اہل بیت پر جب درود بھیجے تو کہے: «اللهم صل على محمد النبي وأزواجه أمهات المؤمنين وذريته وأهل بيته كما صليت على آل إبراهيم إنك حميد مجيد» ۔

Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: When one of you finishes the last tashahhud, he should seek refuge in Allah from four things: the punishment in Hell, the punishment in the grave, the trail of life and death, and the evil of Antichrist.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم used to say after the tashahhud: O Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from the punishment in Hell, and I seek refuge in Thee from the punishment in the grave, and I seek refuge in Thee from the trial of antichrist, and I seek refuge in Thee from the trial of life and death.

Narrated Mihjan ibn al-Adra': The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم entered the mosque and saw a man who had finished his prayer, and was reciting the tashahhud saying: O Allah, I ask you, O Allah, the One, the eternally besought of all, He begetteth not, nor was He begotten, and there is none comparable unto Him, that you may forgive me my sins, you are Most Forgiving, Merciful. He (the Prophet) said: He was forgiven (repeating three times. )

Narrated Abdullah ibn Masud: It pertains to the sunnah to utter the tashahhud quietly.

Abdur-Rahman al-Muawl said: Abdullah bin Umar saw me playing with pebbles during prayer. When he finished his prayer, he forbade me (to do so) and said: Do as the Messenger صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم used to do. I asked him: How would the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم do? He said: When he sat during the prayer (for reciting the tashahhud), he placed his right hand on his right thigh, and clenched all his fingers, and pointed with the finger which is adjacent to the thumb, and he placed his left hand on his left thigh.

Abdullah bin al-Zubair said: When the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم sat during the prayer ( at the tashahhud), he placed his left foot under his right thigh and shin and spread his right foot and placed his left hand on his left knee and placed his right hand on his right thigh, and he pointed with his forefinger.
