It was narrated that Ata said: I head Ibn Abbas sya: 'Usmah bin Zaid told me that the Prophet entered the YHouse, and supplicated in all its corner, but he did not pray inside unitl he came out; when he came out he prayed two Rakahs in front of the Kabah.'

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ خُشَيْشُ بْنُ أَصْرَمَ النَّسَائِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنِي أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ الْبَيْتَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَدَعَا فِي نَوَاحِيهِ كُلِّهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ فِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَتَّى خَرَجَ مِنْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا خَرَجَ رَكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فِي قُبُلِ الْكَعْبَةِ .

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ مجھے اسامہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہما نے خبر دی ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کعبہ کے اندر گئے اور اس کے سبھی گوشوں میں ( جا جا کر ) دعا کی، اور اس میں نماز نہیں پڑھی یہاں تک کہ آپ اس سے باہر آ گئے، اور باہر آ کر آپ نے کعبہ کے سامنے دو رکعتیں پڑھیں۔

It was narrated from Abdullah bin Ubaid bin Umair that a man said: O Abu abdur-Rahman, why do I only see you touching these two corners? He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Touching them erases sins.' And I head him say: 'whoever circumambulates seven times, it is like freeing a slave.'
