Translation

Arabic, english and urdu

It was narrated from Sahl bin Sa’d As-Sa’idi that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The Tasbih is for men and clapping is for women.”

حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وَسَهْلُ بْنُ أَبِي سَهْلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ ّرَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ التَّسْبِيحُ لِلرِّجَالِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالتَّصْفِيقُ لِلنِّسَاءِ .

سہل بن سعد ساعدی رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ( نماز میں جب امام بھول جائے، تو اس کو یاد دلانے کے لیے ) مردوں کے لیے «سبحان الله» کہنا ہے، اور عورتوں کے لیے تالی بجانا ہے ۔
