It was narrated from ‘Ali that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “When I die, then wash me with seven buckets from me well, the well of Ghars.”

حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا أَنَا مُتُّ فَاغْسِلْنِي بِسَبْعِ قِرَبٍ مِنْ بِئْرِي بِئْرِ غَرْسٍ .

علی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب میں انتقال کر جاؤں تو مجھے میرے کنویں ( بئر غرس ) کے سات مشکیزوں سے غسل دینا ۔

It was narrated from ‘Aishah that the Prophet (ﷺ) was shrouded in three white Yemeni cloths, among which there was no shirt and no turban. It was said to ‘Aishah: “They used to claim that he was shrouded in Hibarah.” ‘Aishah said: “They brought a Hibarah Burd, but they did not shroud him in it.”
