It was narrated from Abu Firas that he heard ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr say: “I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: ‘(Prophet) Nuh fasted for a lifetime, except for the Day of Fitr and the Day of Adha.’”

حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ أَبِي سَهْلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ لَهِيعَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي فِرَاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ صَامَ نُوحٌ الدَّهْرَ إِلَّا يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيَوْمَ الْأَضْحَى .

عبداللہ بن عمر و رضی اللہ عنہما کو کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا: نوح علیہ السلام نے عید الفطر اور عید الاضحی کے علاوہ ہمیشہ روزہ رکھا ۔

It was narrated from Thawban, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Whoever fasts six days after the Fitr will have completed the year, for whoever does a good deed will have the reward of ten like it.”

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Whoever fasts one day for the sake of Allah, Allah will move his face away from the Fire a distance of seventy autumns (years).”
