Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that: a man frorn the desert people came to the Prophet and said: O Messenger of Allah, my wife has given birth on my bed to a black boy, and there are no black people among my family. He said: Do you have camels? He said: Yes. He said: What color are they? He said: Red. He said: are there any black ones among them? He said, No. He said: Are there any grey ones among them? He said- Yes. He said How is that? He said: Perhaps it is hereditary. He said: Perhaps (the color of) this son of yours is also hereditary.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَادَةُ بْنُ كُلَيْبٍ اللَّيْثِيُّ أَبُو غَسَّانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جُوَيْرِيَةَ بْنِ أَسْمَاءَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ نَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَر، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَادِيَةِ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِنَّ امْرَأَتِي وَلَدَتْ عَلَى فِرَاشِي غُلَامًا أَسْوَدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِنَّا أَهْلُ بَيْتٍ لَمْ يَكُنْ فِينَا أَسْوَدُ قَطُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَلْ لَكَ مِنْ إِبِلٍ؟ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَمَا أَلْوَانُهَا ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حُمْرٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَلْ فِيهَا أَسْوَدُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فِيهَا أَوْرَقُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَأَنَّى كَانَ ذَلِكَ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ عَسَى أَنْ يَكُونَ نَزَعَهُ عِرْقٌ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَلَعَلَّ ابْنَكَ هَذَا نَزَعَهُ عِرْقٌ .

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ ایک بدوی ( دیہاتی ) نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آیا اور کہنے لگا: اللہ کے رسول! میری بیوی نے ایک کالا کلوٹا لڑکا جنا ہے، اور ہم ایک ایسے گھرانے کے ہیں جس میں کبھی کوئی کالا نہیں ہوا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: کیا تمہارے پاس اونٹ ہیں ؟ اس نے کہا: ہاں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پوچھا: ان کے رنگ کیا ہیں ؟ اس نے کہا: سرخ ہیں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ان میں کوئی سیاہ بھی ہے ؟ اس نے کہا: نہیں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: کیا ان میں کوئی خاکی رنگ کا ہے ؟ اس نے کہا: ہاں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: یہ رنگ کہاں سے آیا ؟ اس نے کہا: ہو سکتا ہے کہ اسے کسی رگ نے کھینچ لیا ہو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: پھر شاید تمہارے اس بچے کا بھی یہی حال ہو کہ اسے کسی رگ نے کھینچ لیا ہو ۔

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: Ibn Zam'ah and Sa'd (Ibn Abu Waqqas) referred a dispute to the Prophet concerning the son of Zam'ah's slave woman. Sa'd said : O Messenger of Allah my brother (Utbah bin Abu Waqqas) left instructions in his will that when I come to Makkah, I should look for the son of the slave woman of Zam'ah and take him into my care. 'Abd bin Zam’ah said: He is my brother and the son of the slave woman of my father; he was born on my father's bed. The Prophet ffi saw that he resembled 'Utbah, and said: He belongs to you, O 'Abd bin Zam'ah. The child is for the bed. Observe Hijab before him, O Saudah. (sahih)

It was narrated from 'Umar that: the Messenger of Allah ruled that the child belonged to the bed.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that: the Prophet said: The child is for the bed (i.e., belongs to the husband) and the fornicator gets nothing!'

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that: a woman came to the Prophet and became Muslim, and a man married her. Then her first husband came and said: O Messenger of Allah, I became Muslim with her, and she knew that I was Muslim. So the Messenger of Allah took her away from her second husband and returned her to her first husband.
