It was narrated that Shaqiq said: “A man sent some Dirham through me to the House.” He said: “I entered the House and Shaibah was sitting on a chair. I handed it (the money) to him and he said: ‘Is this yours?’ I said: ‘No, if it were mine I would not have given it to you.’ He said: ‘Since you say that, ‘Umar was sitting in the place where you are sitting now and said: “I will not go out until I distribute the wealth of the poor Muslims.” I said: “You will not do that.” He said: “I will certainly do that.” He said: “Why is that?” I said: “Because, the Prophet (ﷺ) and Abu Bakr saw where it was, and they had more need of the money than you do. But, they did not move it. Then, he stood up just as he was and went out.”
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا الْمُحَارِبِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ وَاصِلٍ الْأَحْدَبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ شَقِيقٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ بَعَثَ رَجُلٌ مَعِيَ بِدَرَاهِمَ هَدِيَّةً إِلَى الْبَيْتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَدَخَلْتُ الْبَيْتَ وَشَيْبَةُ جَالِسٌ عَلَى كُرْسِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَنَاوَلْتُهُ إِيَّاهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ أَلَكَ هَذِهِ؟، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ لَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَوْ كَانَتْ لِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَمْ آتِكَ بِهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَمَا لَئِنْ قُلْتَ ذَلِكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَقَدْ جَلَسَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ مَجْلِسَكَ الَّذِي جَلَسْتَ فِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا أَخْرُجُ حَتَّى أَقْسِمَ مَالَ الْكَعْبَةِ بَيْنَ فُقَرَاءِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ مَا أَنْتَ فَاعِلٌ؟، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَأَفْعَلَنَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَلِمَ ذَاكَ؟، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ لِأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ رَأَى مَكَانَهُ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَهُمَا أَحْوَجُ مِنْكَ إِلَى الْمَالِ فَلَمْ يُحَرِّكَاهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَامَ كَمَا هُوَ فَخَرَجَ .
ابووائل شقیق بن سلمہ کہتے ہیں کہ   ایک شخص نے میرے ساتھ کچھ درہم خانہ کعبہ کے لیے ہدیہ بھیجے، میں خانہ کعبہ کے اندر آیا، اور شیبہ ( خانہ کعبہ کے کلید بردار ) کو جو ایک کرسی پر بیٹھے ہوئے تھے، میں نے انہیں وہ درہم دے دئیے، انہوں نے پوچھا: کیا یہ تمہارے ہیں؟ میں نے کہا: نہیں، اگر میرے ہوتے تو میں انہیں آپ کے پاس نہ لاتا، ( فقیروں اور مسکینوں کو دے دیتا ) انہوں نے کہا: اگر تم ایسا کہتے ہو تو میں تمہیں بتاتا ہوں کہ عمر رضی اللہ عنہ اسی جگہ بیٹھے جہاں تم بیٹھے ہو، پھر انہوں نے فرمایا: میں باہر نہیں نکلوں گا جب تک کہ کعبہ کا مال مسلمان محتاجوں میں تقسیم نہ کر دوں، میں نے ان سے کہا: آپ ایسا نہیں کر سکتے، انہوں نے کہا: میں ضرور کروں گا، پھر آپ نے پوچھا: تم نے کیوں کہا کہ میں ایسا نہیں کر سکتا؟، میں نے کہا: اس وجہ سے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس مال کی جگہ دیکھی ہے اور ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ نے بھی، اور وہ دونوں آپ سے زیادہ اس کے ضرورت مند تھے، اس کے باوجود انہوں نے اس کو نہیں سرکایا، یہ سن کر وہ جیسے تھے اسی حالت میں اٹھے اور باہر نکل گئے۔

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Whoever is in Makkah when the month of Ramadan comes, and he fasts it and prays at night as much as he can, Allah will record for him (reward equivalent to that for) one hundred thousand months of Ramadan observed elsewhere. For each day Allah will record for him (reward equivalent to that for) freeing a slave, and for each day (reward equivalent to that for) providing a horse in the cause of Allah, and for every day merits and for every night merits.”

Dawud bin ‘Ajlan said: “We performed Tawaf with Abu ‘Iqal in the rain, and when we finished our Tawaf, we came behind the Maqam. He said: I performed Tawaf with Anas bin Malik in the rain. When we finished the Tawaf, we came behind the Maqam and prayed two Rak’ah.’ Anas said to us: ‘Start your deeds anew, for you have been forgiven. This is what the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to us when we performed Tawaf with him in the rain.’”

It was narrated that Jabir bin ‘Abdullah said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sacrificed two rams on the Day of ‘Eid. When he turned them to face towards the prayer direction he said: ‘Verily, I have turned my face towards Him Who has created the heavens and the earth, as a monotheist, and I am not of the polytheists. Verily, my prayer, my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of all that exists. He has no partner. And of this I have been commanded, and I am the first of the Muslims. [6:79,162-163] O Allah, from You to You, on behalf of Muhammad and his nation.’”

It was narrated from ‘Aishah and Abu Hurairah that when the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) wanted to offer a sacrifice, he brought two large, fat, horned, black-and-white, castrated rams. He slaughtered one on behalf of his nation, for whoever testified to Allah with monotheism and that he had conveyed (the Message), and he slaughtered the other on behalf of Muhammad and the family of Muhammad (ﷺ).
