It was narrated that Abu Sa’eed said: “We asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about the fetus. He said: ‘Eat it if you wish, for it is considered legally slaughtered with the slaughtering of its mother.’”
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وَأَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ وَعَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي الْوَدَّاكِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَأَلْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْجَنِينِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كُلُوهُ إِنْ شِئْتُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنَّ ذَكَاتَهُ ذَكَاةُ أُمِّهِ .
ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   ہم نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے جنین ( ماں کے پیٹ کے بچے ) کے متعلق سوال کیا، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تم اگر چاہو تو کھاؤ، کیونکہ اس کی ماں کے ذبح کرنے سے وہ بھی ذبح ہو جاتا ہے ۱؎۔ ابوعبداللہ ابن ماجہ کہتے ہیں: میں نے کوسج اسحاق بن منصور کو لوگوں کے قول «الذكاة لا يقضى بها مذمة» کے سلسلے میں کہتے سنا: «مذمۃ» ذال کے کسرے سے ہو تو «ذمام» سے مشتق ہے اور ذال کے فتحہ کے ساتھ ہو تو«ذمّ» سے مشتق ہے۔

It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin Mughaffal that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Were it not that dogs form one of the communities (or nations – of creatures), I would have commanded that they be killed. But kill those that are all black. There are no people who keep a dog, except for dogs used for herding livestock, hunting or farming, but two Qirat will be deducted from their reward each day.”
