It was narrated that Suraqah bin Ju'shum said: I said: 'O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), is one's deed in that which has already dried of the Pen and what has passed of the Divine Decree, or is it in the future?' He said: 'No, it is in that which he already dried of the Pen and what has passed of the Divine Decree, and each person is facilitated for what he has been created.'
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَطَاءُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الْخَفَّافُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سُرَاقَةَ بْنِ جُعْشُمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ:‏‏‏‏ الْعَمَلُ فِيمَا جَفَّ بِهِ الْقَلَمُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَجَرَتْ بِهِ الْمَقَادِيرُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَمْ فِي أَمْرٍ مُسْتَقْبَلٍ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ بَلْ فِيمَا جَفَّ بِهِ الْقَلَمُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَجَرَتْ بِهِ الْمَقَادِيرُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَكُلٌّ مُيَسَّرٌ لِمَا خُلِقَ لَهُ .
سراقہ بن جعشم رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! یہ اعمال جو انسان سے صادر ہوتے ہیں آیا اس تقدیر کے مطابق ہوتے ہیں جس کو لکھ کر قلم خشک ہو چکا ہے، اور جو جاری ہو چکی ہے؟ یا ایسے امر کے مطابق ہوتے ہیں جو آگے ہونے والا ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: نہیں، بلکہ اسی تقدیر کے مطابق ہوتے ہیں جس کو قلم لکھ کر خشک ہو چکا ہے، اور جو جاری ہو چکی ہے، اور پھر ایک شخص کے لیے اس کی تقدیر کے مطابق وہی کام آسان کر دیا جاتا ہے جس کے لیے وہ پیدا کیا گیا ہے ۔

It was narrated that Jabir bin 'Abdullah said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'The Magicians of this Ummah are those who deny the decrees of Allah. If they fall sick, do not visit them; if they die, do not attend their funerals; and if you meet them, do not greet them with Salam.'

It was narrated that 'Abdullah said: The Messenger of Allah said: 'I have no need of the friendship of any Khalil (close friend) but if I were to have taken anyone as a close friend, I would have taken Abu Bakr as a close friend, but your companion is the close friend of Allah,' (One of the narrators) Waki' said: (by the phrase 'your companion'), he was referring to himself.
