Jabir said: I came (to the mouse) while the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم was giving the (Friday) sermon. He asked: Did you pray, so-and-so? He replied: No. He said: Stand and pray.

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمْرٍو وَهُوَ ابْنُ دِينَارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَابِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَجُلًا جَاءَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ أَصَلَّيْتَ يَا فُلَانُ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قُمْ فَارْكَعْ .

جابر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک شخص جمعہ کے دن ( مسجد میں ) آیا اور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم خطبہ دے رہے تھے، تو آپ نے فرمایا: اے فلاں! کیا تم نے نماز پڑھ لی ہے؟ ، اس نے کہا: نہیں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تو اٹھ کر نماز پڑھو ۱؎ ۔

Jabir and Abu Salih reported on the authority of Abu Hurairah: Sulaik al-Ghatafani came (to the mosque) while the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم was giving the (Friday) sermon. He asked him: Did you pray something ? He said: No. He said: Offer two rak'ahs and make them short.

Abu al-Zahiriyyah said: We were in the company of Abdullah bin Busr, the Companion of the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم, on a Friday. A man came and stepped over the people. Abdullah bin Busr said: A man came and stepped over the people while the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم was giving the sermon on Friday. The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Sit down, you have annoyed (the people).

Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: When any of you dozes in the mosque (on Friday), he should change his place.

Narrated Anas ibn Malik: I saw the Messenger صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم would descend from the pulpit and a man stop him for his need. He would remain standing with him until his need was fulfilled. Then he would stand and pray. Abu Dawud said: This tradition is not well known from the narrator Thabit. Jarir bin Hazim is the only narrator of this tradition.
