Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: When any of you prays, he should not place his sandals on his right side or on his left so as to be on the right side of someone else, unless no one is at his left, but should place them between his feet.

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا صَالِحُ بْنُ رُسْتُمَ أَبُو عَامِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْيُوسُفَ بْنِ مَاهَكَ،‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَلَا يَضَعْ نَعْلَيْهِ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَلَا عَنْ يَسَارِهِ فَتَكُونَ عَنْ يَمِينِ غَيْرِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِلَّا أَنْ لَا يَكُونَ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ أَحَدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلْيَضَعْهُمَا بَيْنَ رِجْلَيْهِ .

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب تم میں سے کوئی نماز پڑھے تو اپنے جوتے ( اتار کر ) نہ داہنی طرف رکھے اور نہ بائیں طرف، کیونکہ یہ دوسری مصلی کا داہنا ہے، سوائے اس کے کہ اس کے بائیں طرف کوئی نہ ہو اور چاہیئے کہ وہ انہیں اپنے دونوں پاؤں کے بیچ میں رکھے ۔

Maimunah bint al-Harith reported: the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم used to pray while. I was by his side in the state of menstruation. Sometime his cloth would touch me when he prostrated. He would pray on a small mat.

Anas bin Malik reported: A man from the Ansar said: I am a corpulent man-and he was (actually) a fat man; I cannot pray along with you. He prepared food for him and invited him to his house. (he said) (please) pray (here) so that I may see how you pray, and then I would follow you. They (the people) washed one side of their mat. He (the prophet) then got up and prayed two Rak’ahs. Ibn al-Jarud asked Anas bin Malik: would he (the prophet) say the forenoon prayer? He replied: I did not see him offering this prayer except that day.

Anas bin Malik said; the prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم used to visit Umm Sulaim. Sometimes the time for prayer would come and he would pray on out carpet that was really a mat. She (Umm Sulaim) used to wash it with water.

Narrated Al-Mughirah ibn Shubah: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم used to pray on a mat and on a tanned skin.

Anas bin Malik said: we used to pray along with the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم in intense heat. When any of us could not rest his face on bare ground while prostrating due to intense heat he spread his cloth and would prostrate on it.
