Translation

Arabic, english and urdu

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: “The worst of food is food of a wedding feast to which the rich are invited and the poor are not. Whoever does not accept an invitation has disobeyed Allah and His Messenger.' ”

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ شَرُّ الطَّعَامِ طَعَامُ الْوَلِيمَةِ يُدْعَى لَهَا الْأَغْنِيَاءُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيُتْرَكُ الْفُقَرَاءُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَنْ لَمْ يُجِبْ فَقَدْ عَصَى اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ .

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ سب سے برا کھانا اس ولیمہ کا کھانا ہے جس میں مالداروں کو بلایا جائے اور غریبوں کو چھوڑ دیا جائے، اور جس نے دعوت قبول نہ کی اس نے اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی نافرمانی کی ۱؎۔

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar: that the Messenger of Allah said: “If anyone of you is invited to a wedding feast, let him accept.”

If you wish, I will stay with you for seven days, but then I will stay with my other wives for seven days too.”

It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Amr: that the Prophet said: “When anyone of you gets a new wife, a servant, or an animal, let him take hold of the forelock and say: Allahumma inni as`aluka min khayriha wa khayri ma jubilat 'alaihi, wa 'audhu bika min sharriha wa sharri ma jubilat `alaih (O Allah, I ask You for the goodness within her and the goodness that she is inclined towards, and I seek refuge with you from the evil to which she is inclined).' ”

It was narrated from Ibn `Abbas: that the Prophet said: “When anyone of you has intercourse with his wife, let him say: Allahumma jannibnish-Shaitana wa jannibish-Shaitana ma razaqtani (O Allah, keep Satan away from me and keep Satan away from that with which You bless me).' Then if they have a child, Allah will never allow Satan to gain control over him or he will never harm him.”
