It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: “By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, the Prophet of Allah (ﷺ) never ate his fill of wheat bread for three days in a row, until Allah took his soul.”
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ كَاسِبٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّهُ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ،‏‏‏‏ مَا شَبِعَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ تِبَاعًا مِنْ خُبْزِ الْحِنْطَةِ،‏‏‏‏ حَتَّى تَوَفَّاهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ .
ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   قسم ہے اس ذات کی جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے، نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مسلسل تین روز تک کبھی گیہوں کی روٹی سیر ہو کر نہیں کھائی یہاں تک کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے آپ کو وفات دے دی ۱؎۔
