Ibn Umar said: The announcer of the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم announced for that (to pray at homes) at Madina on a rainy night or a cold morning. Abu Dawud said: This tradition has also been narrated by Yahya bin Saeed al-Ansari from al-Qasim from Ibn Umar from the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. This version adds the words “During the journey. ”

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ النُّفَيْلِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ نَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَادَى مُنَادِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِذَلِكَ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ فِي اللَّيْلَةِ الْمَطِيرَةِ وَالْغَدَاةِ الْقَرَّةِ. قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ وَرَوَى هَذَا الْخَبَرَ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْقَاسِمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ فِيهِ:‏‏‏‏ فِي السَّفَرِ.

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے منادی نے مدینہ کے اندر بارش کی رات یا سردی کی صبح میں ایسی ہی ندا کی۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: اس حدیث کو یحییٰ بن سعید انصاری نے قاسم سے، قاسم نے ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے، ابن عمر نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کیا ہے اور اس میں «في السفر» کے الفاظ بھی ہیں۔

Ibn Sirin said: Ibn Abbas said to his Muadhdhin on a rainy day: “when you utter the words ‘ I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, ” do not say, ” Come to prayer” but say “Pray at your homes, ” By this (announcement) the people were surprised. He said: One who was better than me has done it. The Friday prayer is an obligatory duty. But I disliked to put you to hardship so that you might walk in mud and rain.

Narrated Tariq ibn Shihab: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: The Friday prayer in congregation is a necessary duty for every Muslim, with four exceptions; a slave, a woman, a boy, and a sick person. Abu Dawud said: Tariq bin Shihab had seen the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم but not heard anything from him.

Narrated Kab ibn Malik: Abdur Rahman ibn Kab ibn Malik said: When Kab ibn Malik heard the call to prayer on Friday, he prayed for Asad ibn Zurarah. He replied: This is because he held the Friday prayer for the first time for us at Hazm an-Nabit of Harrah belonging to Banu Bayadah in Naqi', called Naqi' al-Khadumat. I asked him: How many were you at that time ? He said: Forty.

He said: Yes. He asked: How did he do? He replied: He offered the Eid prayer, then granted concession to offer the Friday prayer, and said: If anyone wants to offer it, he may offer.
