It was narrated from Hisham bin 'Urwah that his father said: ''Aishah said to me: 'O 'Urwah, your two fathers were of those who answered (the Call of) Allah and the Messenger (Muhammed) after being wounded, (they were) Abu Bakr and Zubair.''

حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وَهَدِيَّةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ:‏‏‏‏ يَا عُرْوَةُ كَانَ أَبَوَاكَ مِنْ الَّذِينَ اسْتَجَابُوا لِلَّهِ وَالرَّسُولِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا أَصَابَهُمُ الْقَرْحُ سورة آل عمران آية 172:‏‏‏‏ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَالزُّبَيْرُ .

عروہ کہتے ہیں کہ مجھ سے ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا: عروہ! تمہارے نانا ( ابوبکر ) اور والد ( زبیر ) ان لوگوں میں سے ہیں جن کے بارے میں یہ آیت کریمہ نازل ہوئی: «الذين استجابوا لله والرسول من بعد ما أصابهم القرح» جن لوگوں نے زخمی ہونے کے باوجود اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی پکار پر لبیک کہا ( سورة آل عمران: 172 ) ، یعنی ابوبکر اور زبیر بن عوام رضی اللہ عنہما۔

It was narrated that 'Ali said: I never saw the Messenger of Allah mention his parents together for anyone except Sa'd bin Malik. He said to him on the Day of Uhud: 'Shoot, Sa'd! May my father and mother be sacrificed for you!'
