It was narrated that Ibn ‘Umar said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) entered the Ka’bah on the Day of the Conquest (of Makkah), with Bilal and ‘Uthman bin Shaibah, and they locked the door behind them from the inside. When they came out, I asked Bilal: ‘Where did the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) pray?’ He told me that when he entered, he turned to his right and prayed in the direction that he was facing, between the two columns.”
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنِي حَسَّانُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ الْكَعْبَةَ وَمَعَهُ بِلَالٌ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَغْلَقُوهَا عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ دَاخِلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا خَرَجُوا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏سَأَلْتُ بِلَالًا:‏‏‏‏ أَيْنَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَخْبَرَنِي:‏‏‏‏ أَنَّهُ صَلَّى عَلَى وَجْهِهِ حِينَ دَخَلَ بَيْنَ الْعَمُودَيْنِ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ لُمْتُ نَفْسِي أَنْ لَا أَكُونَ سَأَلْتُهُ كَمْ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فتح مکہ کے دن کعبہ کے اندر تشریف لے گئے، آپ کے ساتھ بلال اور عثمان بن شیبہ رضی اللہ عنہما بھی تھے، پھر ان لوگوں نے اندر سے دروازہ بند کر لیا، جب وہ لوگ باہر نکلے تو میں نے بلال رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کہاں نماز پڑھی؟ تو انہوں نے مجھے بتایا کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنے چہرہ مبارک کے سامنے ہی نماز پڑھی، جب دونوں ستو نوں کے درمیان تشریف لے گئے، پھر میں نے اپنے آپ پر اس بات پر ملامت کی کہ میں نے ان سے یہ کیوں نہ پوچھا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کتنی رکعتیں پڑھیں؟۔

It was narrated that ‘Aishah said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) went out delighted, then he came back to me sad. I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, (why did) you go out happy and come back sad?’ He said: ‘I entered the Ka’bah, and I wish that I had not done that, because I am afraid that I may have caused difficulty for my nation after I am gone.’”
