Translation

It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said: “Umm Sulaim made some bread for the Prophet (ﷺ), and she put a little ghee on it. Then she said: ‘Go to the Prophet (ﷺ) and invite him (to come and eat).’ So I went and told him: ‘My mother is inviting you (to come and eat).’ So he stood up, and said to the people who were with him: ‘Get up.’ I went ahead of him and told her. Then the Prophet (ﷺ) came and said: ‘Bring what you have made.’ She said: ‘I only made it for you alone.’ He said: ‘Bring it.’ Then he said: ‘O Anas, bring (them) in to me ten by ten.’ So I kept bringing them in ten by ten, and they ate their fill, and there were eighty of them.”

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ صَنَعَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خُبْزَةً،‏‏‏‏ وَضَعَتْ فِيهَا شَيْئًا مِنْ سَمْنٍ،‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ اذْهَبْ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَادْعُهُ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَأَتَيْتُهُ،‏‏‏‏ فَقُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ أُمِّي تَدْعُوكَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَقَامَ وَقَالَ لِمَنْ كَانَ عِنْدَهُ مِنَ النَّاسِ:‏‏‏‏ قُومُوا ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَسَبَقْتُهُمْ إِلَيْهَا فَأَخْبَرْتُهَا،‏‏‏‏ فَجَاءَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَاتِي مَا صَنَعْتِ ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّمَا صَنَعْتُهُ لَكَ وَحْدَكَ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَاتِيهِ ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا أَنَسُ أَدْخِلْ عَلَيَّ عَشَرَةً عَشَرَةً ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَمَا زِلْتُ أُدْخِلُ عَلَيْهِ عَشَرَةً عَشَرَةً،‏‏‏‏ فَأَكَلُوا حَتَّى شَبِعُوا وَكَانُوا ثَمَانِينَ.

انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ( میری والدہ ) ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے لیے روٹی تیار کی، اور اس میں تھوڑا سا گھی بھی لگا دیا، پھر کہا: جاؤ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو بلا لاؤ، میں نے آپ کے پاس آ کر عرض کیا کہ میری ماں آپ کو دعوت دے رہی ہیں تو آپ کھڑے ہوئے اور اپنے پاس موجود سارے لوگوں سے کہا کہ اٹھو، چلو ، یہ دیکھ کر میں ان سب سے آگے نکل کر ماں کے پاس پہنچا، اور انہیں اس کی خبر دی ( کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بہت سارے لوگوں کے ساتھ تشریف لا رہے ہیں ) اتنے میں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم آ پہنچے، اور فرمایا: جو تم نے پکایا ہے، لاؤ ، میری ماں نے عرض کیا کہ میں نے تو صرف آپ کے لیے بنایا ہے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: لاؤ تو سہی ، پھر فرمایا: اے انس! میرے پاس لوگوں میں سے دس دس آدمی اندر لے کر آؤ ، انس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں دس دس آدمی آپ کے پاس داخل کرتا رہا، سب نے سیر ہو کر کھایا، اور وہ سب اسّی کی تعداد میں تھے ۱؎۔

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: “By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, the Prophet of Allah (ﷺ) never ate his fill of wheat bread for three days in a row, until Allah took his soul.”

it was narrated that ‘Aishah said: “The family of Muhammad (ﷺ) never ate their fill of wheat bread for three nights in a row, from the time they came to Al-Madinah until he passed away.”

It was narrated that ‘Aishah said: “When the Prophet (ﷺ) passed away, there was nothing in my house that any living soul could eat, except a little bit of barley on a shelf of mine. I ate it for a long time, then I weighed it and soon it was all gone.”
