Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: When you tell (your brother on Friday) to be silent while the imam is giving the sermon you are guilty of idle talk.

حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَالِكٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا قُلْتَ أَنْصِتْ وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ فَقَدْ لَغَوْتَ .

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب تم نے امام کے خطبہ دینے کی حالت میں ( کسی سے ) کہا: چپ رہو، تو تم نے لغو کیا ۔

Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Three types of people attend Friday prayer; One is present in a frivolous way and that is all he gets from it; another comes with a supplication, Allah may grant or refuse his request as He wishes; another is present silently and quietly with-out stepping over a Muslim or annoying anyone, and that is an atonement for his sins till the next Friday and three days more, the reason being that Allah, the Exalted, says: He who does a good deed will have ten times as much (vi. 160).

Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: When one of you becomes defiled during prayer, he should hold his nose and then turn away. Abu Dawud said: This tradition has been narrated by Hammad bin Salamah and Abu Usamah from Hisham on the authority of his father from the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. Jabir and Abu Salih reported on the authority of Abu Hurairah: Sulaik al-Ghatafani came (to the mosque) while the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم was giving the (Friday) sermon. He asked him: Did you pray something ? He said: No. He said: Offer two rak'ahs and make them short.

Abu al-Zahiriyyah said: We were in the company of Abdullah bin Busr, the Companion of the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم, on a Friday. A man came and stepped over the people. Abdullah bin Busr said: A man came and stepped over the people while the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم was giving the sermon on Friday. The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Sit down, you have annoyed (the people).
